Following significant investment in our Retail and Online businesses we are actively recruiting an Online Advertising Manager. Reporting to the Head of Online Services the role is responsible for ensuring that all Gala Coral websites achieve and maintain optimum natural search rankings by planning, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive SEO strategy.

Key accountabilities

• Define and execute the content strategy for all Gala Coral websites
• Maximise natural search engine ranking positions driving customer acquisition, development and retention
• Ensure SEO site architecture is fit for purpose, continuously assessed and improved
• Ensure meta tagging techniques are fit for purpose, continuously assessed and improved
• Create and maintain a series of content networks associated with key events or projects
• Plan, execute and evaluate a link building strategy
• Manage the relationship with key internal stakeholders, including the Brand Marketing team, the Insight and Analytics team, IT and Operational Business unit managers
• Manage the relationship with the preferred agency partner to assist in all appropriate SEO consultancy
• Establish a reputation as the SEO expert for Gala Coral
• Ensure SEO aligns with PPC strategy and that appropriate investment is allocated
• Management and development of one direct report

 Essential / Desirable knowledge, skills and experience

• In depth knowledge of SEO best practice
• Previous direct responsibility for SEO strategy planning and execution
• Demonstrated knowledge of HTML and website structures
• Good understanding of customer journeys
• A keen interest, passion and understanding of SEO and social media (blogs, forums etc)
• Very strong communication skills
• Track record of directly managing and working with specialist SEO agencies
• Strong organisational skills and experience of balancing multiple projects at the same time
• Evidence of strong people and project management skills
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and third party service providers
• An interest in the gambling sector is advantageous but the potential to be passionate about the product and experience is a necessity

The role is based at our Woking office which is a 10 minute walk from Woking train station.
